How does an Offshored team member cover US business hours?
Your team member works your business hours, Monday to Friday, on a permanent night shift in Manila. Manila is UTC+8 all year with no daylight saving, so a 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern day is 9:00 pm to 5:00 am in Manila during US daylight time and 10:00 pm to 6:00 am in US winter, and a Pacific day is midnight to 8:00 am or 1:00 am to 9:00 am. The 10 percent night shift differential under Article 86 of the Philippine Labor Code is included in your monthly fee and never billed separately. The full time zone table is on how offshore staffing works for US businesses.
What does the monthly fee include?
One monthly fee per full-time team member covers recruitment and vetting, employment by Australian Pathways OPC under Philippine labor law, salary, the night shift differential for US hours, 13th month pay, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG contributions, Philippine income tax withholding, paid leave and the 11 US federal holidays, HMO health insurance after the six month probation, payroll, HR and an account manager, and replacement at Offshored's cost. Office based team members also get a desk in our BGC, Manila office and a company laptop. Not included: licenses for your own software, and Philippine regular holiday work you approve. Extra hours you approve are not billed: they convert to paid leave for your team member. Fees start at US$1,350 per month for administration and support roles on Eastern hours; every band is on US pricing.
How do I pay, and in which currency?
In US dollars. Offshored Pty Ltd invoices you in US dollars on the 15th of each month, due on the 30th, in advance of the month the work covers. You pay by domestic US transfer, ACH or Fedwire, to Offshored Pty Ltd's US dollar account, so there is no international wire fee. A start date other than the 1st is prorated, so you only pay for days worked. Offshored Pty Ltd is not registered for Australian GST and charges no GST or VAT.
What happens when I give 30 days' notice?
You can end the arrangement at any time by giving 30 days' notice. If the notice period ends part way through a month, the following invoice is prorated to the remaining notice period, and nothing else is owed: there is no exit fee and no minimum term. Every login your team member holds to your systems is removed on their last day.
Who is the legal employer of my team member?
Offshored's team members are employed in the Philippines by Australian Pathways OPC, a registered Philippine company, so you engage a staffing service rather than employing an overseas worker. You contract with Offshored Pty Ltd, ABN 84 664 866 433, an Australian company, and the service agreement with a US client is governed by Philippine law. No US employment relationship arises, so you do not run US payroll, withhold US employment taxes or provide US benefits for the team member. Will Offshored provide a Form W-8BEN-E?
Yes. Offshored Pty Ltd provides a completed IRS Form W-8BEN-E, the certificate of foreign status for entities, to US clients on request. Ask your own CPA how to treat the monthly invoice in your books and filings.
Which US holidays does my team member observe?
The 11 US federal holidays set by 5 U.S.C. 6103: New Year's Day, Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. They are paid days off, taken in place of the Philippine public holiday calendar, and the fee does not change in a month with a holiday. The remaining 2026 dates are Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, and Christmas Day, Friday, December 25 (US Courts 2026 federal holiday schedule). Work on a Philippine regular holiday needs your written approval, and the additional pay Philippine law requires for that day (twice the regular rate, Labor Code Article 94) is billed on your next invoice.
How is my business data protected?
Your data stays in your own systems: Offshored holds no client data on its own infrastructure. Your team member connects through a VPN or directly through your systems, depending on your IT setup, and you decide what they can access. Company supplied laptops have USB ports and personal cloud drives blocked. Every hire has a pre-screening interview and an NBI clearance, the Philippine national police check. The employment contract has a confidentiality clause that continues after employment ends and an intellectual property assignment clause, so the work product belongs to you, and every login is removed on the last day. Offshored will sign a HIPAA business associate agreement with a US healthcare client. More on the data security page.
How long does it take to hire?
One to two weeks from your signed brief to a shortlist of screened candidates. You interview them by video call at times in your own time zone, and the start date is agreed at offer stage, depending on the candidate's notice period with their current employer.
What is the minimum engagement?
One full-time team member. There is no minimum term: you pay month to month, with no recruitment fee, no setup fee and 30 days' notice to end the arrangement. Offshored recruits in the Philippines only.
What if my team member leaves or is not the right fit?
Offshored recruits a replacement at its own cost. If your team member resigns or the fit is wrong, our Manila recruitment team presents new candidates, before the handover date where notice allows, and there is no re-recruitment fee. Tell your account manager early if something is not working, and we work through it with you first.
How does probation feedback work?
Probation lasts six months. During it, Offshored formally asks you for feedback at the end of month one, month three and month six, and your account manager acts on what you report. HMO health cover for your team member starts once probation is complete, and after probation performance is reviewed annually.
Offshored uses the dedicated offshore staffing model: you choose the person, that person works only for your business in your systems and your hours, and Offshored handles recruitment, onboarding, payroll and day to day HR, with each team member employed in the Philippines by Australian Pathways OPC, a registered Philippine company.
