How much does an offshore accounts payable or receivable specialist cost for a US business?
An offshore accounts payable or receivable specialist through Offshored costs US$1,500 to US$2,000 per month, all-inclusive, which is US$18,000 to US$24,000 a year. The fee covers the specialist's salary, Philippine statutory contributions, 13th month pay, paid leave, HMO health insurance after probation, payroll, HR and replacement at our cost, and the Philippine night shift differential is included, never billed separately. For Pacific hours the fee is US$1,650 to US$2,200 per month. The lower end is for a single-function processing role; the upper end is for one person running both payable and receivable with credit control and weekly reporting. There is no recruitment or setup fee.
What do accounts payable and receivable clerks earn in the United States, and how does that compare?
The Bureau of Labor Statistics groups accounts payable and accounts receivable clerks under bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks (occupation 43-3031). The median annual wage was US$50,670 in May 2025, with a mean of US$53,560, a 25th percentile of US$43,520 and a 75th percentile of US$61,470 (BLS OEWS, May 2025, released May 15, 2026). Benefits added 30.0 percent of total compensation on top of wages for private industry workers (BLS Employer Costs for Employee Compensation, June 2026), so total compensation at the median wage is US$72,386 a year. The Offshored tier midpoint of US$1,750 a month is US$21,000 a year, which is 71.0 percent less.
Should I hire one offshore specialist for both accounts payable and receivable?
It depends on volume. One dedicated specialist can usually run both sides for a business with a few hundred vendor bills and customer invoices a month, with time to spare for reporting. Where collections calls take most of the day, or invoice volumes are higher, hire one for each. We scope the volume with you on the first call and recommend one person or two.
Can an offshore accounts receivable specialist call my US customers?
Yes. They call from your phone system or a cloud phone app with a US number, during your business hours, following your scripts and escalation rules. Filipino professionals are widely used for US customer contact because of their clear English and courteous manner, and your customers deal with one consistent person rather than a rotating call center.
Will my offshore specialist work US business hours?
Yes. Your specialist works a full eight-hour day, Monday to Friday, at the times you set in your US time zone. Manila is 13 hours ahead of New York in winter and 12 in summer, and 16 and 15 hours ahead of Los Angeles, so your US day is a night shift in Manila. US business hours are covered by a night shift in Manila. Philippine law sets a night shift differential of 10 percent of the regular wage for each hour worked between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am (Labor Code of the Philippines, Article 86), and Offshored includes it in the monthly fee, so the USD price shown is the price you pay.
How do I keep control of payments with an offshore accounts payable specialist?
Payment authority stays with you. Your specialist enters and matches bills, reconciles statements and prepares the payment batch, then you or your US manager approve it in Bill.com or your approval tool and release it in the bank. They never hold banking authority unless you choose to grant it, and all their system access is removed on their last day.
